Billy Mays Likely Died Of Pulmonary Embolism, Coroner Says
While it is only a preliminary result, the Tampa Bay medical examiner who performed the autopsy on Billy Mays has said at a press conference on Monday, that evidence of heart disease likely explain the Pitchmen star’s sudden passing.
The unofficial cause of death is being called a pulmonary embolism, due to an enlarged heart. Previous rumors that he may have died due to injuries from what is being called a ‘rough landing’ on a US Airways fight this weekend, where Mays claimed to have hit his head, appear to have been unfounded. The coroner found there was no evidence of head trauma, nor any other internal or external injuries.
