Cameron Diaz thrilled by reunion with Cruise
On Monday, after years of unjust delays and debate, Cameron Diaz was finally awarded a Hollywood star. And among the crowd of five-hundred close friends were Tom Cruise and his wife, Katie Holmes.
Last night, at the New York premiere of her film, ‘My Sister’s Keeper,’ the 36-year old actress was still thrilled by this gift, “I was really happy to see them,” she told US. “It was so lovely of them to come out and show support. My family and friends were there, and I consider the two of them that as well. So it was really wonderful to have them there.”
Having already co-starred with Tom in 2001’s psychological snoozer, ‘Vanilla Sky,’ Cameron is now set to repeat the delight, as both have signed-on to star in the upcoming Fox picture, “Wichita.’
Described by the studio as ‘a lively comedy,’ and due to be helmed by James Mangold [Men in Trees,] the movie follows the life of a woman [Diaz] who has nothing but bad luck with men. A secret agent [Tom] then appears in her life, and suddenly that luck improves. “I’m very, very excited about doing it.” Cam gushed to a scribe. It’s an action film, so I’m really excited to work with him again.”
There’s no date for release on the new movie yet, but the Fox suits are said to be aiming for sometime next Summer…which should be just enough time for Cam to calm down.
