Lou Diamond Phillips wins ‘I’m a Celeb’

Lou Diamond Phillips wins Im a CelebAfter weeks of endurance, plus some self-induced drama by some of his peers, Lou Diamond Phillips has been crowned a celeb.

Last night’s live, season finale saw the 47-year old upcoming ‘Stargate’ alumnus narrowly beating former WCW star, Torrie Wilson, to be crowned King of the Jungle on the NBC show. “This experience is head and shoulders above anything I’ve ever done.” he told the hosts. “No movie set ever compares to this. This is the real deal and it’s been an amazing trip.”

As a reward for this rare feat of endurance, surviving bugs and diseases [and Spencer and Heidi,] Lou won a wreath of laurels, a seat on the throne and a generous check for his favorite charity - the ‘Art Has Heart’ foundation, which awards free college scholarships to under-privileged teens.

Once the win was announced the whole cast reassembled for a collective critique of this unusual ride. Spencer and Heidi even deigned to attend – strangely lost for a reason to leave a fifth time.

The show is now scheduled to return in the fall, but no cast or location has been chosen as yet.
