Dating In the Dark Premieres: Iâm On The Fence
I can admit that I am not really one for Reality Shows. In the beginning when they were all shiny and new I probably watched them all. Now I only watch a couple, and the ones I do have to be because there is something moral about them. Okay, Big Brother doesn’t fall under that rule at all, but you must get my point.
After I was done watching Jimmy Fallon last night I got a chance to watch the season premiere of Dating In The Dark. You must have seen the preview for this show, couples dating in the dark and the one girl hopes she doesn’t have Shrek at the end of it all. Now the premise for this one was a cool one that for sure hasn’t been done before. People talking in the dark and getting to know each other that way. I wasn’t sure how it was going to end though.
So when the couples got to see what the other one looked like it floored me. Even though they were totally in the dark you could tell right away if the person liked them or not. And what was more interesting was the way the guys and girls talked afterwards. So the girls were all like he’s so not hot I don’t know what I’m going to do. And the guys were like, she’s better than I expected, I think that I could be okay with that.
So at the end of the show they have to meet on the balcony if they want to continue with things and date each other more. Of course, all the guys showed up. But one girl didn’t. I was cheering on the guys in the hopes that they didn’t get their heart broken. Now am I going to be watching this show again? I’m not sure. The season is only six episodes long and you get a whole dating, reveal and if they are going to continue in each episode (which I like unlike shows like The Bachelorette where you have to watch for months back to back.). I might be able to watch this one. But if you think I’m going to DVR it…you have another thing coming.
