Charlize Theron Hospitalized With Serious Virus

Actress Charlize Theron was reportedly admitted to a Los Angeles hospital with an unknown and serious virus last week.
The Oscar-winning actress spent four nights at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after contracting a painful stomach virus, reported the National Enquirer.

The ‘Monster’ star reportedly suffered severe abdominal pains, which she attributed to food poisoning.
But when the sharp stomach pains failed to go away, Theron’s boyfriend Stuart Townsend took the actress to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to seek treatment. Townsend was so shaken by the incident he reportedly told friends: “I was scared to death. I had no idea what was happening to her, but this is a woman who never complains, so I knew it had to be serious.”

Doctors ran a series of tests and diagnosed Theron with a serious virus thought to have been contracted during her travels overseas, according to the National Enquirer. The tabloid claims the actress was discharged from hospital after being given a series of antibiotics and is now back to full health.
