Stephen Dorff to return in triple Blade prequel

If you were a fan of Stephen Dorff’s tour-de-force outing in Warner’s 1998 vampire shocker, Blade â€" you’re in for a treat; They’re making some more.

Stephen, 36, just confirmed to the press that he and the rest of the cast are working with Blade’s director, Stephen Norrington on no less than a trio of prequels to the blood-chilling tale. “It’s a new trilogy he created as a prequel to the Blade movies,” Steve told the UK’s Daily Mail. “It will be cool. We hope to shoot the first film next year.”

The new incarnation of Marvel’s kitsch classic will focus wholly on Frost â€" Wesley Snipes’ hero, Blade, will not be there at all.

For his part, Stephen Norrington has confirmed Dorff’s news, but credits the actor with the idea for the films. No release date has been mentioned, but we’ll keep you advised.
